Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter recent mission
Late last night, the Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter crew were responded by the NZ Coordination Centre to search for a personal locator beacon activation at Shutes Hut on the Taruarau River in the Ruahine Ranges.
On landing at Shutes Hut the rescue helicopter crew ascertained a 70 year old male had failed to return after fly fishing on the river for the day. The rescue helicopter crew conducted a search along the river and located the man on the river bank approximately 1km from the hut. He was airlifted from the site and returned to the hut.
