Water restrictions still in place
Water restrictions still in place
Despite the (little
bit) of recent rain water restrictions need to remain in
force for all of Ruapehu District. The latest river flow
data from the Whanganui and Makotuku Rivers show average
flow levels well below the minimum required for restrictions
to be lifted. The recent rain shows as a peak on the graphs
then river flows dropping back to low levels. People are
asked to please be water wise - every drop
counts!
