Health Warning for Lake Ngaroto Lifted
The health warning issued in December last year for Lake Ngaroto has now been lifted, after two consecutive tests showed cyanobacterial levels to be once again below the warning level.
This leaves three lakes with cyanobacterial health warnings in force, Lakes Waikare, Whangape and Rotoroa. Lakes Waahi and Hakanoa, the other lakes that are tested regularly, remain below the warning level for cyanobacteria.
