Hutt City Libraries and GNS Science are coming together to hold a series of author-led knowledge sessions, with renowned scientists from across New Zealand.
The sessions, titled ‘Hot Science – Cool Tales’, will take place at the War Memorial Library from March to November, with the first talk set for Thursday 19 March.
Prominent New Zealand scientists will explain and unpack a fascinating area of science related to a book they have written, and answer questions about the mysteries of science.
The series follows on from the success of a pilot programme in 2014 and acknowledges a shared understanding of the importance of science and technology in Hutt City.
Sandra Mann, Divisional Manager, Libraries says, “we are excited to work collaboratively with GNS Science to deliver high class learning opportunities for Hutt City residents. It’s an exceptional addition to our events calendar and adds to a wide variety of science and technology programmes led by Hutt City Libraries”.
Admission to the ‘Hot Science – Cool Tales’ sessions is free and bookings are not required. For session dates and more information, visit the Libraries website.
