Queen Mary 2's call cancelled due to rough seas
Today’s call of the Queen Mary 2 has been
cancelled due to very rough seas and large swells at the
Wellington harbour entrance.
Due to the swell and current depth restrictions at the harbour entrance, the Master of the vessel made the decision to abandon the call.
The Queen Mary is now heading for Auckland.
CentrePort is currently consulting with the public over plans to deepen the shipping channel at the harbour entrance.
