The people of Whangarei are reminded that the deadline for Civic Honour Award nominations is May 22 – just over a month away.
A Civic Honour Award for outstanding voluntary community service is the highest award that Whangarei District Council bestows upon its citizens.
The purpose of the award is to recognise those people, who by their personal leadership, inspiration, sacrifice or devotion to a cause, have made a significant contribution to the community wellbeing of the Whangarei District. All nominees and nominators must reside in the Whangarei District.
Nomination forms are available online at www.wdc.govt.nz, or from Council's Customer Service Counters at Forum North and Ruakaka.
Nominations close at 4pm, Friday 22 May 2015.
