Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter called to Coromandel
The Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter was
dispatched to Coromandel at midnight last night to retrieve
a local woman who had fallen and injured her knee.
St John Ambulance staff treated the woman at the scene before transferring her to the Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter. She was then flown to Waikato Hospital to receive further treatment.
The Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter covers the Waikato and King Country regions including the Coromandel Peninsula. The helicopter was called to ensure the woman was transported quickly to hospital to receive further treatment.
