New Zealand International Convention Centre design update
SKYCITY and the Crown are making good progress towards finalising the preliminary design of the New Zealand International Convention Centre, SKYCITY CEO Nigel Morrison said today.
The Crown and SKYCITY are in the process of agreeing to a final design of the development, following an 11-week review of the original design. The review was undertaken following confirmation from the Government that it would not be making any financial contribution to the cost of the NZICC.
“SKYCITY is pleased with progress made on the redesign of what will be an amazing landmark building, delivering significant economic benefits for both Auckland and New Zealand,” says Mr Morrison.
“With arrangements still to be finalised, we have agreed with the Crown to extend the deadline for the review to the end of May.’’
