Wellington Free Ambulance fully resourced for emergencies during Kapiti floods
Wellington Free Ambulance is
fully equipped to deal with emergencies on the Kapiti Coast,
but is continuing planning to ensure ongoing cover, says
head of operations Rob Ives.
“We have three ambulances, one urgent community care vehicle with paramedics who can treat people at home, and a four wheel drive rescue vehicle on hand,” Mr Ives says.
The four wheel vehicle will help ambulance staff reach people in hard to reach locations.
“We are working closely with Wellington Regional Emergency Management Operations to keep on top of any changes likely to affect our service.”
“We’re resourced to keep up with all of our normal workload and provide region wide cover,” Mr Ives says.
