Farmer Injured in Parawera
Farmer Injured in Parawera
The Waikato Westpac Rescue
Helicopter was dispatched to a dairy farm near Parawera at
approximately 8:30 am on Wednesday morning.
A 37 year old farmer suffered a suspected spinal injury when hay bales fell on him while working in his hay barn.
He was treated by a St John paramedic at the scene before the helicopter was requested due to the seriousness of injury and distance from hospital. The Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter flew him to Waikato Hospital for further treatment.
