Life Flight attends truck crash in the Wairarapa
At approximately 1:15pm yesterday afternoon the Life Flight Trust was responded to the Wairarapa to a Road Traffic Crash between a Truck and a Ute.
Life Flight responded in the Westpac Rescue Helicopter with a Wellington Free Ambulance Paramedic on board.
The Helicopter was able to land on the road near the Ambulance where the patient was being treated by a local ambulance crew.
Once assessed by the Helicopter paramedic the driver of the Ute in his 60’s was flown to Wellington Hospital Emergency Department with moderate injuries.
The Life Flight Trust is a charity providing air rescue and air ambulance services. It operates the Wellington based Westpac Rescue Helicopter and a nationwide air ambulance service.
