Citizen Awards Open for Nominations
Citizen Awards Open for Nominations
Council is again recognising the contributions of hard working locals within the Stratford District with its annual Citizen Awards.
"I encourage residents to nominate people in our community who have contributed their time and energy to worthy causes within the District. This is a perfect opportunity to appropriately acknowledge these people," says Mayor Neil Volzke.
Nominees will have shown personal leadership, inspiration and made a significant contribution to the well-being of the community.
Mayor Volzke says, "There are many outstanding residents in our community and it is a real pleasure to be able to award some of those people."
Nomination forms for both the Citizen Awards and the Youth Citizen Awards are available from the Stratford District Council's service centre, library, information centre or from Council's website, www.stratford.govt.nz.
Nominations close 4.30pm, Friday 29 May 2015. A presentation ceremony will be held on 15 July.
Last year's recipients were: Les Bayly, David Brunton and Gloria Webby
