Meet a Kiwi - new opportunity
Meet a Kiwi - new opportunity
On Tuesday week 2nd
June we have an opportunity for 6 more people to see a young
kiwi up close (2 people per kiwi).
You can be part of our health check of juvenile kiwi and learn about what our kiwi crèche aims to achieve. The kiwi will be in their natural habitat so that the health check is as unobtrusive as possible.
When: Tuesday 2nd June – 3 time slots (9am; 10.30am and 12noon) – maximum of 2 people per time slot.
Duration: 1 hour
Cost: $75 per person. Cost includes self guiding in Ecosanctuary after your kiwi experience. All proceeds go to maintaining Orokonui’s safe habitat.
Note that the kiwi experience is subject to weather conditions. A reasonable level of fitness is required as it will be a 10 minute walk each way. To prevent disease of kiwi people must wear clean clothes and footwear (special care must be taken if people are have been handling chickens or other birds).
For booking please phone 482 1755 or email info@orokonui.org.nz.
