Referendum results Friday
The preliminary results
of the referendum to determine the future use of the old
Harbour Board building at the Town Basin, are expected to be
available at around 12.30pm on Friday 5 June.
Voting closes at 12 noon after which the ballot boxes from Forum North and Ruakaka will be taken to Auckland for the final votes to be counted, with the official result being announced around 5pm.
The preliminary results will be sent to Councillors, Prosper Northland Trust (proposers of the HWMAC) and Future Whangarei (Proposers of Harbourside) and published on our website www.wdc.govt.nz/referendum
We expect to announce the final result on our website shortly after 5pm.
HWM Sheryl Mai will provide a statement when the result is clear.
Anyone who still needs to vote is reminded that voting papers should be dropped off at Council Offices at Forum North and Ruakaka beforenoon on Friday.
