2015 NZME Hastings City Business Awards
Tickets go on sale for the 2015 NZME Hastings City Business Awards
The nominations are in, the judges in place and tickets are now on sale for the NZME Hastings City Business Awards. The awards cocktail function and ceremony will to be held on Friday 31st July at Focal Point Cinema and promises to be a red carpet affair. The popular Martin and Sarah from ‘The Hits’ will act as MC’s for the evening and Kevin Biggar - adventurer, author, award winning speaker and presenter on the TVNZ show 'First Crossings' will be the guest speaker.
The awards event will be the culmination of many weeks of compiling the nominations and the long judging process, which starts soon. Susan McDade from the Hastings City Business Association said, “The response to a call for nominations was very encouraging, with a wide range of businesses being nominated by both the general public and other business owners. This is a positive reflection on the Hastings business community and shows enthusiasm and interest in the CBD.”
CBD Businesses that participate in the awards can benefit in several ways. Those that are category winners will have their business profiles lifted with media coverage which can, in turn, boost sales and strengthen existing relationships. There are also some lucrative prizes up for grabs. All participating businesses receive feedback from the very capable judge’s panel, giving them the unique opportunity to improve certain areas of their business from an independent standpoint.
Tickets for the awards function are sure to sell fast and will be a wonderful opportunity for the Hastings Business community to have some fun. Tickets are available by application on the Hastings City Business Association website – www.hastingscity.co.nz - priced at $55 per person.
