Feedback sought on Colin Maiden Park Precinct

Feedback sought on Colin Maiden Park Precinct

Having strongly advocated for the purchase of Colin Maiden Park, the Orākei Local Board now wants to hear your thoughts on its future use.

Three master plan options have been developed following consultation last year with stakeholders.

All three options provide for the existing sports codes to remain and for the introduction of new sports to the park.

Proposed options also include hockey fields, a multi-use field for community events and informal sports, and a new multi-use sports and training facility.

“This is your chance to say how you want to see Colin Maiden Park Precinct developed,” says Orākei Local Board parks portfolio lead Kit Parkinson.

“We urge you to come and see the options provided and tell us your thoughts.”

A public open day will be held on Saturday 20 June from 11am to 1pm at the Colin Maiden Park maintenance depot, Merton Road, entry at Gate 5, where you can talk with board members and planners.

To view the options and have your say, visit shapeauckland.co.nz from 15 June to 13 July. You can also view the options and make a submission in hardcopy at the Remuera, St Heliers, Mt Wellington and Glen Innes libraries, the St Heliers Community Centre or the Orākei Local Board office during this time.
