Urban Auckland Press Release
Urban Auckland (Society for the Protection of Auckland City and Waterfront Inc)
24 June
2015
Urban Auckland applauds Auckland Council’s
decision not to appeal the High Court ruling which
overturned Resource Consents for extending Bledisloe Wharf.
We call on Ports of Auckland to do the same.
If they do, the Ports Future Study, sponsored by Auckland Council, can begin in a spirit of dialogue and openness. We look forward to seeing the future of the Waitemata Harbour determined by a broad group of Aucklanders.
After the dislocated relations of recent weeks, we also welcome Auckland Council’s commitment to reviewing the Governance framework for ACIL (Auckland Council Investment Limited) and the Ports of Auckland.
