Judging gears up for NZME Hastings City Business Awards 2015
Judging gears up for NZME Hastings City Business Awards 2015
The quest to find the ‘best in business’ in
Hastings has begun. Judges are now taking on the huge
challenge of interviewing the nominated businesses in
Hastings CBD, all of who are striving for excellence in the
2015 NZME Hastings City Business Awards.
The response to a call for nominations has been encouraging with a wide range of businesses being nominated by the general public and other business owners. This is a positive reflection and shows the real strength of the Hastings business community.
The very capable team of 12 Judges representing the full spectrum of business interests will be led by two very well-regarded and knowledgeable local business owners, both of who are more than qualified for this important role. The Judges will be specifically looking for companies that understand the impact of the current environment, are innovative, adaptable and have an ‘edge’.
Businesses will be competing to take out the title of the one of the following six categories:
Brebner Print Independent Retail
NAI Harcourts National & Franchise Retail
EIT Service Professional
Best Travel Not for Profit
Ngatarawa Food & Drink
Kiwibank Emerging Business
Computer Care Corporate Service
BWR Service to Business Personality
“We are very lucky to have some fabulous judges from the local business community on board this year. There is plenty of diversity in their business backgrounds and experience giving the process some real weight.” said Susan McDade, Manager of the Hastings City Business Association. “I think they will have a tough job on their hands determining the best in business here in Hastings.”
