Boobs On Bikes Should Be Permitted
“Steve Crowe should be paying Bob McKroskie a commission for all the free publicity he has given for the Boobs on Bikes parade being held tomorrow,” says Affordable Auckland Mayoral & Albany candidate Stephen Berry. “Until I saw Family First’s complaint about the event I didn’t even know it was on.”
Mr. Berry has called on police to ignore a complaint from Family First demanding the parade be banned from proceeding. “The measure I would use to decide whether an activity should be banned is whether the activity infringes upon someone else’s right to peacefully live their life as they choose. A parade certainly doesn’t come close to doing that and neither does the potential causing of offense.”
“I find the idea that police action should be taken to prevent some people being offended, quite frankly, offensive. Is Bob McKroskie going to fight to prevent me from being offended?”
Stephen won’t be in attendance at the Boobs on Bikes parade. “Boobs are of very little interest to me and in any case I will be at work.”
