Elderly man airlifted from Murupara
At 7pm Wednesday evening the Rotorua based BayTrust Rescue Helicopter was despatched to assist a St John Ambulance which had been despatched to Ruatahuna to uplift a patient.
The mans condition was deteriorating thus the Ambulance crew asked for air support.
The chopper met the ambulance at the Murupara Fire Station whereby the patient was transferred to the helicopter.
The 88 year old Ruatahuna man was airlifted through to Rotorua Hospital with a serious medical condition.
