Road Maintenance Contract Award
Road Maintenance Contract Award
Mackenzie District Council recently re-tendered their road maintenance delivery contract on the open market. This tender was undertaken in conjunction with, Ashburton, Timaru and Waimate District Councils.
Contractors were able to bid individually and combine their bids where they would carry out works in more than one district. Mackenzie District Council received two individual tenders and two combined tenders.
Whitestone Contracting Limited were successful in retaining road maintenance services in the Mackenzie District. Their successful tender was a combined bid with Waimate District Council. While this is a combined bid, the contact for Mackenzie will be administered and managed by Mackenzie District Council staff. The tender price fits within Council approved budgets.
Council staff look forward to continuing to improve the successful collaborative model currently in place with Whitestone Contracting Limited.
