Genuine water purity calls in Hastings-Napier

Genuine water purity calls in Hastings-Napier

Hawke’s Bay Regional Council confirms that commercial calls concerning water filter sales to local residents of Napier and Hastings are genuine.

HBRC yesterday distributed a media release stating that public should be wary of bogus phone calls.

HBRC has since learned the calls are genuine, related to a trustworthy sales campaign instigated by HRV, promoting a water filter system.

HBRC Communications Manager Drew Broadley explains the mix-up.

“In my conversation with HRV’s General Manager, we agreed that perhaps people had misheard their business name and confused it with HBRC. A thorough review of their sales process means they are now making this clearer in their sales calls.”

“It’s a bit of a mix-up and after seeming suspicious, I can confirm the calls are genuine,” says Mr Broadley.

The sales call suggest an in-home demonstration of a water filter product, often as a follow-up sales call to people who have previously purchased in-home heat-recovery and ventilation systems.
