Auckland’s Westpac Rescue Helicopter Trust Teams up with Vodafone to Provide an All Inclusive Marquee Experience at the Land Rover NZ Polo Open

Auckland’s Westpac Rescue Helicopter Trust (ARHT) is the official charity of the Land Rover New Zealand Polo Open 2016. ARHT's motto is 'Anyone, Anytime, Anywhere' - if you need help within our region, the Westpac Rescue helicopter will get you to the care that you need as quickly as possible.

“At last year’s NZ Polo Open together we raised $20,000 for the Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter Trust. The Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter Trust has special importance to me as a helicopter helped to save my life a few years ago. At this coming year’s NZ Polo Open we hope our spectators will join the ARHT marquee at the NZ Polo Open and support such a worthy cause” said Simon Wilson, Land Rover NZ Polo Open Executive Director.

The Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust operates two Westpac Rescue helicopters, servicing the Greater Auckland and Coromandel regions. They fly from Te Hana in the North, to Port Waikato in the south, and across to Waihi at the southern edge of the Coromandel. ARHT will fly over 1,000 missions; ranging from accident & injury, through to emergency medical and search & rescue work.

“The Land Rover NZ Polo Open allows us to connect with a new audience, and create a sustainable event based fundraising platform. We have a strong connection to the equine community, as well as the local Clevedon community, flying several missions a year in the area to assist those in need. Thanks to the help of various sponsors we can create a unique experience at the Land Rover NZ Polo Open that justifies a premium ticket price, and allows us to raise those badly needed funds” comments ARHT Event Manager Nathan Turley.

The Vodafone sponsored Westpac Rescue Helicopter Marquee tickets are currently $195 and include return transport to the event via luxury coach, gourmet food and a BBQ as well as beverages - all included, and General Admission ticket entry to the Land Rover New Zealand Polo Open. ARHT would like to thank to Vodafone Next Generation Services for their generous sponsorship of this area.

Look out for the Polo Ball raffle on the day that supports both Auckland Polo Club and the Westpac Chopper.

The Land Rover NZ Polo Open is held on Fisher Field, Clevedon, on Sunday February 21, 2016.Ticketed guests can watch three Polo matches, including the Land Rover NZ Polo Open Final, join the fashionable crowd on the Heineken Lawn, enjoy gourmet food, sip champagne and a range of beverages are available to purchase from the Chukka Lawn bars.
