Sexual Assault - Aranui, Christchurch - Canterbury
A 20 year old female has reported being sexually assaulted when she was walking through the path across Merrington Crescent Reserve, Aranui, around 10 p.m.
on Wednesday 6 January 2016. The pathway runs through Merrington Crescent Reserve between Merrington Crescent and Breezes Road. Police have conducted area enquiries with neighbours near the reserve in the hope of identifying the male responsible. The male has been described as a 30 year old male Polynesian with a solid build and believed to be wearing a ‘hoody’ style of sweatshirt. D/Sgt GUNN has urged anyone who may have information regarding the male to call Christchurch Central Police Station on 03 363 7400. Information can also be provided anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
