White-Tailed Spider Bite, Rakaunui
The Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to Rakaunui, West of Kawhia, this morning, to retrieve a 6-year girl who was bitten by a White-tailed spider last night. The girls was flown to Waikato Hospital with an infection subsequent to the bite. The helicopter was used due to the remote location.
