Te Kuiti Crash
The Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to a fatal car v car crash on SH3 on the outskirts of Te Kuiti township at approximately 2:30pm.
A total of 6 people were involved. Three rescue helicopters attended, also multiple ambulance, fire and police. SH3 was blocked for some time. There were two fatalities and the other four people were flown to Waikato Hospital, two were in critical condition, both female, an adult and child, and two serious condition.
