Royal Easter Show set to open on time
The Royal Easter Show will open on time at 10am this morning, despite the storm that battered Auckland overnight.
The Royal Easter Show’s Nicola Harris says the night’s wild weather has not caused any serious problems for the show and the ASB Showgrounds, its home since 1843, is in great shape.
“While some minor scheduling changes will be made until the weather clears, there will be little or no impact on any of the major attractions, including the always-popular carnival rides and sideshows.”
The Royal Easter Show, at the ASB Showgrounds in Greenlane, opens at 10am today and runs daily from 10am until 10pm until Monday, March 28.
Admission is free for both adults and children.
Other attractions include Drift Trikes and FMX riders, Chelsea and her Performing Canines, a circus, kids shows and a Strongest Man Contest. There is also a huge range of common and exotic animals on display, a Biggest Pig Competition and a free fireworks display each night at9.30pm.
