Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter weekly round-up 19-26 Mar
The Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter flew 7 missions over the period as follows:
Sat 19 A morning mission to Hunterville for a woman suffering an allergic reaction to a bee sting. Later in the afternoon the helicopter was dispatched to Foxton for a man in his 50’s with a medical emergency. He was airlifted Wellington Hospital for specialist treatment.
Sun 20 An afternoon mission to a property near Papanui Junction after a man in his 70’s was injured after he fell from a ladder. He was airlifted to Whanganui Hospital.
Mon 21 A midday mission to Waiouru for a man in his 40’s with a medical emergency. He was airlifted to Palmerston North Hospital.
Tues 22 A very early morning mission to Waiouru for a man in his 80’s with a medical emergency. He was airlifted to Palmerston North Hospital. The mission was completed with the aid of Night Vision Goggles. Later that morning the helicopter was dispatched to the Miracle Hut in the Ruahine Ranges for a woman who injured her ankle in a fall. She was airlifted to Palmerston North Hospital.
Wed 23 A midday mission to a property near Pukeokahu for a man in his 50’s was injured after he was attacked by a cattle beast. He was airlifted to Palmerston North Hospital.
