The Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter was tasked with an emergency inter-hospital transfer yesterday afternoon for a Palmerston North man, in his 30’s, who had suffered serious injuries to his hands. The patient was stabilised by hospital staff in the Emergency Department before being airlifted to Hutt Valley Hospital to undergo time-critical specialist surgery.
