Young woman airlifted after road crash.
This afternoon Trustpower TECT Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to Otamarakau where two cars had collided, one car had apparently lost control on the wet road and collided with an oncoming car.
The driver of one of the cars received critical head injuries as a result of the crash, she was airlifted directly to Waikato hospital for emergency surgery.
The driver of the other car was taken to Tauranga hospital by St John ambulance in a moderate.
