Taumarunui Train Clock Gets Upgrade
Taumarunui Train Clock Gets Upgrade
The Taumarunui town train clock on Hakiaha St will soon be running on time again after new digital workings are installed.

The popular train clock which will be 15 years old in June was installed as a project of the Taumarunui Lions Club.
Ruapehu District Council Property Team Leader said that the clock had been losing time and was needing daily adjustments which were quite involved.
“The new workings of the clock will be digital which will ensure that the clock keeps time accurately as well as being a lot easier to adjust when required,” she said.
“We will also be giving the train themed clock tower a clean-up.”
“All going well the clock should be all fixed and back keeping Taumarunui running on time by the end of June.”
