iM Interactive Mika: Mika Haka is exhibiting at the Pah Home
iM Interactive Mika: Mika Haka is exhibiting at the Pah Homestead, TSB Bank Wallace Arts Centre.
23 May 2016, 6-8pm.
Mika Haka's exhibition iM Interactive Mika opens in the Photography & AV Galleries on Monday 23 May. Join us for wine and nibbles and exciting Avant Garde Native and Queer performance from Mokoera Te Amo, Christopher Olwage and Rosanna Raymond.
Mika creates a hybrid of moving image and still images in his first visual arts exhibition. Universal and cultural themes are explored in this series of works, illustrated through luscious and surreal studies of movement, light and space. Mika searches for a space of quiet confrontation and empathic sensuality within a convergence of sexuality, Maori gender roles, native peoples and urban manhood.
This event is proudly supported by Ara Wines and Moa Beer.
This exhibition is presented as part of the Auckland Festival of Photography.
Join us for Kura Korero: Mika Haka on 18 June, 12pm-2pm in the Upper Lobby.
