WALK IN, RIDE OUT: THE GREAT AUCKLAND BIKE MARKET TO HIT QUEENS WHARF IN JUNE

Cyclists of every skill level and style (as well as those yet to hit the road) should be sure to mark down Saturday 12th June in the diary, when The Great Auckland Bike Market takes place at The Cloud on Queens Wharf, thanks to Auckland Transport. From avid enthusiasts to inquisitive newcomers to the two-wheeled lifestyle, The Great Auckland Bike Market in the heart of Auckland’s CBD is a chance to get up close and personal with all kinds of bicycles - to suit every rider and budget.

Bring your own bikes and bits to sell or swap – or pick up your next bike from one of the many retailers and locals on the day! There’s something to meet every cyclist’s needs - a diverse array of cycling fashions, safety and riding information, and plenty of beautiful new and pre-loved bikes to admire, with the chance to try before you buy. Free servicing and DIY workshops will be lead by Bigfoot Adventures, who will be onsite with a few handy mechanics to help people tune, tweak, and repair their bikes. The Cloud will be decked out with local entertainment and street food to boot, perfect for a celebratory day at Auckland’s urban heart, Queens Wharf.

Members of the public can roll up on the day to sell or swap accessories, parts, and up to four bikes. When you arrive with your bicycle bounty, you will be allocated some rack space. Bike stores can get in touch withjohn@freshconcept.co.nz to secure a market stall. There will be a four bike limit per seller.

Running from 10am until 3pm on Saturday 12th June, roll on down with whānau and friends to this unique and totally free day of cycle celebrations. Whether you’re a confident cyclist or looking to begin life on two wheels - it’s as simple as walking in and riding out.
