Anne Galloway says “In my current position as co-ordinator of HIPPY (Home Interaction Programme for Parents and Youngsters), I have built and empowered a community of parents throughout the Halswell, Addington, Spreydon and Hoon Hay areas who are all committed to working with their pre-schoolers ensuring their success at school.”

“It has been my privilege to see the change that people can make in their families, communities and themselves when they are given the training and resources to do so.”

“As a councillor, I want to build on those successes, and empower communities and families to thrive.”

People’s Choice chair Keir Leslie says “The People’s Choice has a vision for a prosperous and inclusive city, where every child has a chance to grow and thrive. Anne has put those values into practice in her work with HIPPY and Cholmondely, and she’ll take those values into the Council.”
