There are 55 delicious events in the 2016 Winter F.A.W.C! schedule totalling just over 1500 tickets for keen F.A.W.C!ers to snap up. Events range from $30 to $250 in price and include everything from cooking classes to vineyard bonfires, night markets and themed dinners of all descriptions.
Complementing the Winter F.A.W.C! weekends are the “F.A.W.C! by 5” dining deals. Local cafes and restaurants will be offering special menu offerings in denominations of $5 up to $50 per person. Participating venues include Church Road Winery, Bistronomy, The Farm at Cape Kidnappers and the Tikokino Country Hotel to name a few.
New for this year is “Spooning at F.A.W.C!” where some of Hawke’s Bay’s premium lodges are offering up exclusive food and wine accommodation packages. A highlight being an overnight stay at the newly opened exclusive Craggy Range Winery Owners Cottage, complete with your own private Chef and Sommelier.
Hawke’s Bay Tourism General Manager and F.A.W.C! organiser Annie Dundas said the organisation was looking forward to the fourth Winter F.A.W.C! series. “We are always amazed at the event creativity that Hawke’s Bay’s food and wine folk turn out. It’s a stellar line up and F.A.W.C! goers are in for a real treat”
F.A.W.C! Food and Wine Classic, is a seasonal event series held twice a year in Hawke’s Bay. Winter F.A.W.C! is held every June and Summer F.A.W.C! every November.
