Auckland Transport Set to Waste Even More Money
Auckland Transport Set to Waste Even More Money
10 JUNE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Responding to the news that Auckland Transport is extending its rebranding requirements to ferry operators, Ratepayers’ Alliance spokesperson, Jo Holmes, says:
“On Monday we learned that ratepayers will be paying million for buses to be repainted in Auckland Transport colours, now they’re doing the same for the ferries. The Council needs some leadership here. The officials need to be told that ratepayers are sick of the Council favouring branding over core business.”
“Who are these people? Who asked them to go round setting colour schemes while what is actually needed is more reliable transport services?”
“At a time when ratepayers have been whacked with year on year rates increases, the last thing the Council should be spending money on is changes to branding. What’s more, it will be consumers – the ratepayers of Auckland – who will end up paying more.”
