Pasifika leader new Chair of Wellington Community Trust
Gerardine Clifford-Lidstone has recently been appointed as Chair of the Wellington Community Trust, taking over from Jan Dowland who has chaired the Trust since 2012.
Ms Clifford-Lidstone, a born-and-bred Wellingtonian, has been a trustee since 2010 and brings a wealth of experience to the role, particularly from her professional involvement in developing ways for government and business to work successfully with Pasifika communities.
Of her appointment she says, “Jan has set a high benchmark and I’m very keen to continue the strategic approach to granting that she has initiated. Through having a good sense of the needs in our community, and making smart and responsible investment decisions we can expand/develop the positive impact our work has across the Wellington region.”
