School Group in Nice, France Confirmed Safe and Well
The following can be attributed to Dr Sandra Hastie, Principal, Rangi Ruru Girls’ School in Christchurch.
Rangi Ruru Girls’ School in Christchurch can confirm a group of nine girls and two staff currently on a cultural trip in Nice, France have been accounted for and are safe and well.
All girls are currently in the care of their homestay families, and staff are in an apartment.
The group had planned to stay in Nice until July 23 however in light of today’s incident, plans for ongoing travel will be reviewed over the next couple of days with a decision based on travel advice from French and New Zealand authorities.
Rangi Ruru is in contact with the girl’s families here in New Zealand, the homestay families and the teachers on the ground in Nice.
