Hunters Plaza give community kids rare opportunity

Hunters Plaza become the first South Auckland mall to bring an artificial ice skating rink indoors.

Hunters Plaza have unleashed an unprecedented line up of free July school holiday entertainment that includes ice skating, a winter wonderland and a chance for the vibrant Papatoetoe community to leave their mark within its walls.

Fully energised by $5 million of recent upgrades and a bold new marketing vision, Hunters Plaza are setting new standards of what Auckland’s mall goers can expect in terms of free entertainment for the little ones.

The main attraction has arrived in the second week of the school holidays with the go ahead given to install the latest European designed artificial ice rink in-centre. Rated 100% green, Hunters Plaza believe this would be an exciting opportunity for local children to take part in a sport they might otherwise never experience.

Safety is the #1 priority with helmets ,gloves and skates provided free for use and with a surface that’s 97% the same gliding performance as real ice, it’s perfect for beginners and children over the age of 5. And with the added bonus…it’s not cold! It’s been an absolute hit with kids!

The full free school holiday entertainment schedule is as follows:

WEEK 2: Mon 18 to Fri 22 July

Mon - Wed 9:30am to 5pm

Thursday 9:30am to 8pm
