Wellington's top chefs to cook for deserving families
Wellington's top chefs come together to cook for deserving families
Some of Wellington’s top chefs will set aside any culinary rivalry to create a home cooked meal for the families staying at Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Wellington tonight. The chefs will come together to prepare, cook and serve a meal to the families staying at the House and also for some amazing RMHC volunteers who help keep the House running. The families are looking forward to a beautiful feast by some top chefs from Wellington’s top restaurants such as Dockside, Tinakori Bistro, and Coco at the Roxy.
The night will launch the charity’s annual Supper Club event, which will be held on 13 September and will involve 35 of Wellington’s top and most generous restaurants. Guests purchase a table of eight, and on the night at a pre function, there’s a lucky draw to find out which restaurant they will be heading to.
All proceeds from the event go towards supporting over 3,700 families who call RMHC their ‘home away from home’ each year. RMHC provides practical, emotional and financial support to families as their children receive specialist medical treatment in a hospital far from home, all so Kiwi families can focus on the most important thing – helping their child heal.
