New Wellbeing start-up Launched
A new
wellbeing start-up, CoLiberate launched in Wellington
on Sunday. A one-of-a-kind wellbeing start-up has launched
this week in Wellington. In collaboration with Urban Dream
Brokerage, CoLiberate has an interim home
at 111 Customhouse Quay for the month of August to introduce
this brand new personal wellbeing-focused
service. CoLiberate provides a range of facilitated
sessions that actively, collaboratively and creatively help
you to prioritise your wellbeing. All sessions are
consciously designed with the Mental Health Foundation’s
‘5 ways to wellbeing’ in mind, and lead by experienced
facilitators. From yoga, active meditation and hands-messy
escapism to impulsive dance, you can come along to their
Interim home and take a moment for yourself. Unleash your
creative side, relax the mind and move the body. “It’s
like a creative gym - a place you can go on your own terms
and in your own time but instead of pumping weights you pump
wellbeing. Hopefully people will be able to take a real
mental health day, or mental health hour, rather than
feeling isolated..” - says co-founder, Bop
Murdoch. CoLiberate began when three theatre-makers, who
were dissatisfied with the level of people-care in their
community, entered Inspiring Stories’ Summer accelerator
programme ‘ Live The Dream’ 2015/16 and since then, the
alumni team have been working hard and fast to launch
CoLiberate’s first wellbeing programme this August.
Co-founders; Bop Murdoch, Sarah Tuck and Jody Burrell are
Victoria University Theatre graduates and also co-founders
of award-winning theatre company, Pat-A-Cake
Productions.
“Since Live The Dream - we find
ourselves surrounded by people in need of something like
CoLiberate in their community and we’re so excited to
finally make it available to those people. We’ve listened
and now we’ve made it accessible for everyone” -
Jody Burrell, Co-founder. CoLiberate is open from
07 AUG - 3 SEPT and you can check out their full timetable
of initial sessions on their website www.coliberate.co.nz

interim hub is an urban sanctuary - a relaxing and calm
space in the middle of a chaotic city. Open for anyone and
everyone, I can’t wait to hang out there in my lunch
hour!”
