Annette Brosnan Elected to
Napier City Council Unopposed
Annette Brosnan has today been elected for a second term, unopposed in her Onekawa/Tamatea ward seat. The ward stretches from Anderson Park to Georges Drive stopping at Kennedy Road.
Annette joins Mayor Dalton in being the only two elected unopposed to Napier City Council ahead of voting in October.
Annette (28) says “In some ways it is a shame not to go to the vote and have my mandate confirmed however I have worked hard for Tamatea and Onekawa and believe I have a lot of support in my community”.
Annette will be sworn onto Council with the other elected Councillors and the Mayor in late October/ early November at the inaugural Council Meeting.
Despite the election now being finished for Annette, she is not being complacent.
“I hope this result is due to those in my ward who are interested in its strong representation, see the hard work I’m putting in and love I have for the area, and support me in continuing that work” Annette says
“I want to say a huge thank you to my community for all their support, I am looking forward to working hard for us this term”
