What: Mike will outline his ambitions for Porirua and what his leadership can offer. Significant campaign supporters will explain why he's their choice for Mayor. Light food and drink will be provided, with entertainment by Porirua's Virtuoso Strings and others.

Current PSA President Mike Tana will tomorrow launch his campaign for Porirua Mayor by outlining his vision for stronger and more sustainable communities in the city he loves.
"I want to use my proven experience as a leader to champion our city and help unleash its potential," Mike says.
"As the head of the New Zealand Public Service Association and a senior Government biosecurity advisor in the Ministry for Primary Industries, I've spent my life working for a fairer go for people and protecting New Zealand's precious natural environment.
"I'm overwhelmed by the support of people from across the city who say Porirua deserves an experienced leader who'll back our young people to achieve their dreams and who'll be an unashamed champion for New Zealand's most beautiful city.
"Tomorrow I'll outline my vision, and introduce some of my supporters, but most importantly I want to hear from residents about what the real issues are for them and what Porirua needs to untap its full potential."
