Sixty years of the Eastern Southland Car Club will be remembered when the club holds it's annual dinner and prizegiving in Gore on Saturday night.

The club was formed in 1956 and some of the memorabilia from the past sixty years will be on display when the dinner and prizegiving take place at the Heartland Hotels Croydon on the Main Queenstown Highway, Gore on Saturday evening.

The memorabilia will be on display from 2.30pm in the afternoon at the hotel with tea and coffee on offer while some competition cars will be on display outside the hotel.

The official part of the evening begins with drinks at 5.30pm before guests are seated for dinner at6.30pm. During the evening the annual prizegiving for the 2015/2016 season will take place while the guest speaker will be Paul Mullan of Black Magic Media, a company that covers rallies in both New Zealand and Australia. Mullan is also the President of Jet Boating New Zealand and is involved with Jet Boating expeditions around the world so the talk will no doubt be an exciting one.
