Auckland Prayer Breakfast
Media Release – Auckland Prayer Breakfast
The inaugural Auckland Prayer Breakfast will be held at Eden Park on Thursday 27th October 2016, modelled on the successful prayer breakfasts in Washington, London and Sydney. The organisers are Auckland Church Leaders Meeting and New Zealand Christian Network, with support from World Vision, Christian Savings, Bible Society, and Rhema Media.
The Auckland Prayer Breakfast is a new annual community event on the city calendar and is open to everyone. This year, well-known church leaders Pastor Tak Bhana, Bishop Kito Pikaahu, Princess Mele Siu’ilikutapu, and Glyn Carpenter, will facilitate prayers including poverty and housing, wisdom for the new mayor, council and local boards, ethnic and migrant issues, family and marriage. The gathering will be a major multi-cultural event and it is planned for 700 people to participate.
A comprehensive website http://www.aucklandprayerbreakfast.org.nz/ provides further detail, including the ticket price of $35 per person, and with profiles of the oversight group and prayer leaders.
