0200 radio check throughout Region has nothing further to report – Murchison, St Arnaud, Golden Bay - no significant damage to report.

Marlborough/Kaikoura has had significant damage to some areas but nothing this side.

Tsunami have been recorded on the East Coast – warnings does not include Tasman or Golden Bay

A number of people have been arriving on Princes Drive as a precaution

Apart from power outages throughout Nelson – Atawhai, Tahuna, Stoke, there is no damage to report

Murchison has lost telephone as well, power outages in spots in Golden Bay.

Emergency services are reporting no reports of damage throughout the District

Aftershocks will be a feature of the rest of the day
