ADVISORY NOTICE
Potential landslip risk
Risk assessment following the recent earthquakes have identified a potential landslide on Scarborough St that may put people at risk.
People from 174 to 186 Torquay St are being evacuated as a precaution.
Red Cross staff, with help from USAR, are managing the evacuations house by house.
The people being evacuated are being offered alternative safe accommodation.
Access to Torquay St is restricted to residents only and will be single lane. Traffic on Scaborough St is also limited to a single land while Dempseys Track is closed until further notice.
