Heritage’s Waiau School Pool Fundraiser Makes a Splash
The Waiau school pool in the Hurunui was irreparably damaged by the earthquake recently. Heritage and CityLife Hotels stepped in to help fundraising efforts for a new pool by donating a two-night accommodation voucher for a special Trademe auction last week.
The winning bid was from tourism industry identity Martin Horgan of Southern World for $795. Heritage Hotels have matched the amount to create a donation of $1590 directly to the school fundraiser.
“The response has been really incredible. We also thank Martin for his generosity,” says Dylan Rushbrook, general manager of sales and marketing at Heritage and CityLife Hotels.
All proceeds raised from the auction go to the pool rebuild fund. To donate directly to the pool fundraiser visit https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/waiauschoolpool
