Medical mission from Putaruru

The BayTrust Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to the Waikato township of Putaruru at approximately 1100am Wednesday morning to attend a serious medical event.
Fire service set up a landing zone in a paddock next to the house where the event occurred (picture attached)
Attended by a St John ICP carried onboard the helicopter the man was quickly stabilised for flight and then immediately airlifted the 81 year old local man to Waikato Hospital in a critical condition.
Upon return to Rotorua the helicopter was despatched to return to Waikato Hospital for an urgent patient transfer.
