Day Out with Thomas

GLENBROOK VINTAGE RAILWAY
CHARITABLE TRUST BOARD

Day Out with Thomas
Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th March 2017

Thomas the Tank Engine will be back out on the line, pulling trains at the Glenbrook Vintage Railway on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th March, and will also be bringing a whole lot of friends!

Day Out with Thomas has become a premier event in Auckland for under-5's, especially Thomas fans, of which there are just as many now as there has ever been! It creates a great atmosphere for the children who get to be there, as well as their family and friends who accompany them.

Rusty the little diesel locomotive, Bulgy the grumpy double decker bus, Trevor the traction engine, Terence the tractor, and the beautiful big steam engine Diana will all be showing off at the GVR, under the direction of Sir Topham Hatt, the Fat Controller.

Diana will be taking train passengers on 12km rides up and down the line, while Bulgy will be taking passengers on jaunts around the countryside.

Thomas will also be offering free rides in his trucks to anyone who buys tickets to take the 12km trip behind Diana.

All the steam engines on the GVR will be in character, showing off their unique faces.

Thomas-themed storytelling, face painting, a bouncy castle, and other fun group activities will all be available for free with your train ticket.

Must-have Thomas merchandise will also be available in the Glenbrook Station shop!

Entry and parking at the Glenbrook Vintage Railway are free. Train fares are: Adults $25, Children 4-14yrs $10 (Under 4 yrs – free) Family $65

Visit www.gvr.co.nz, or ring 636 9361 or 0508 123 487 for further details.

Don’t miss “Day Out With Thomas”! Your little “Thomas” fan will never forget the experience!
